Terms of use
Last updated 14 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms of use ("terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Ahead ("Ahead", "we", "us" or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the Ahead mobile app, the website at https://tradewithahead.com, and any related features, software and communications we provide (together, "the service").
Our privacy policy, and any additional terms we show you for a particular feature, form part of these terms. If additional terms conflict with these terms, the additional terms apply to that feature.
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
If you use the service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.
Please read these terms carefully, especially the sections on risks, our liability and disputes. They limit what Ahead is responsible for and affect how disputes are resolved.
2. Who can use Ahead
You may use the service only if all of the following are true, and remain true while you use it:
- You are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- You have not previously been suspended or banned from the service.
- You are not a Restricted Person. A Restricted Person is anyone named on, or owned or controlled by anyone named on, a sanctions or restricted party list kept by the United Nations, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union or any of its member states, or any other relevant authority.
- You are not located in, resident in, or organised under the laws of a Restricted Jurisdiction. A Restricted Jurisdiction is any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, and anywhere that using the service or trading digital assets is prohibited or would require us to hold a licence or registration we do not have.
- The funds and digital assets you use with the service come from lawful sources and are not connected to any Restricted Person or Restricted Jurisdiction.
- Your use of the service does not break any law or regulation that applies to you.
You must not use a VPN, proxy, location spoofing or any other method to hide where you are or to get around these restrictions. Doing so is a serious breach of these terms.
We may decide at any time, in our discretion, to restrict or stop offering the service, or any feature, in any country or region, or to any person. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws where you live and use the service. The service is not an offer or solicitation to anyone in a place where it would be unlawful.
3. Identity and compliance checks
We may, at our discretion or where the law requires it, carry out identity, sanctions, anti-money laundering and fraud checks on you and on the wallet addresses and transactions linked to your account. If we ask, you agree to promptly provide accurate information and documents, such as proof of identity or address.
We may refuse, delay or limit access to the service, block a transaction, or suspend your account while checks are completed, or if information we hold suggests a link to sanctions, money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, theft or other illegal activity. We may report such activity to the relevant authorities where the law requires or allows it, and we may not be permitted to tell you that we have.
4. The service is still being built
Ahead is in active development. Some features may be offered as early access, testing or preview features, and may be incomplete, contain errors, behave unexpectedly, or be changed or withdrawn without notice. You use them at your own risk.
We may change, add or remove features, supported networks, supported tokens and providers at any time. We do not promise that any feature will continue to be available. Where a change significantly affects a feature you rely on, we will try to give you reasonable notice.
5. What Ahead is and is not
Ahead is software that lets you buy and sell digital tokens on Solana, Base, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain from a self-custody wallet, view your balances across those networks as one USDC balance, and set exits, alerts and automations on your positions.
Ahead is not a bank, exchange, broker, dealer, custodian, money transmitter, investment adviser or fiduciary. We do not hold your funds, take the other side of your trades, or match orders. Trades are carried out by your wallet on public blockchains, through third-party swap aggregators, bridges and liquidity sources that we do not own or control.
Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, employment or fiduciary relationship between you and Ahead.
6. Your account
To use most of the service you need an account. You can sign in with a social account, an email address or an existing wallet. You must give accurate and complete information and keep it up to date. You may have only one account unless we agree otherwise.
Your account is personal to you. You must not share it, let anyone else use it, or use anyone else's. You are responsible for all activity under your account, whether or not you authorised it, so keep your sign-in account, email account, PIN and devices secure. Tell us immediately at the address in the contact section if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
We may refuse to open an account, or suspend or close one, as described in these terms.
7. Your wallet and private keys
When you sign up, a self-custody wallet is created for you through a third-party wallet provider, and you may import an existing wallet. Self-custody means that you, not Ahead, control the digital assets in your wallet.
Your private keys are generated and secured by the wallet provider and are never available to Ahead in readable form. You can view and export your private key or recovery phrase from the app. Anyone who has your private key or recovery phrase can take everything in your wallet. You are solely responsible for keeping it secret and secure, and for backing it up if you choose to export it.
If you lose access to both your sign-in method and your private key, you may permanently lose access to your wallet and everything in it. Ahead cannot recover your wallet, reset your key or reverse a transfer made with your key.
Using the wallet provider's services is also subject to that provider's own terms. We are not responsible for the wallet provider's services, availability or security, though we choose providers carefully.
8. Authorising transactions
When you confirm a trade, deposit, withdrawal or conversion, or turn on an exit, recurring buy, AutoProtect or other automation, you instruct and authorise Ahead to prepare the matching transactions and submit them from your wallet, within the limits shown to you and that you set. For some networks this includes a one-time authorisation that lets your wallet carry out trades without holding that network's gas token.
Automations keep running until they complete, you turn them off, or your account is suspended or closed. You can review and cancel open orders and automations in the app at any time, but a cancellation cannot stop a transaction that has already been submitted.
You are responsible for checking every instruction before you confirm it, including the token, network, amount and destination address.
9. Trades
Before you confirm a trade, Ahead shows a quote, including what you pay, the fees, and the estimated amount you receive. Quotes are estimates based on market conditions at the time and are not guaranteed. The amount you actually receive may be different because prices move, liquidity changes, and other transactions land first. Your trade may fill at any price within the slippage tolerance shown, and if the price moves beyond it, the trade may fail.
A trade may also fail, be partly filled or be delayed because of network congestion, a lack of liquidity, a token's own transfer rules, a provider error or other events outside our control. Where a trade fails, network costs already spent may not be recoverable.
To pay from your single USDC balance, Ahead may draw from your balances on more than one network and may route a trade through a bridge to another network. The total cost is shown before you confirm. Bridged transactions depend on third-party bridges and can take longer or fail.
Blockchain transactions are final. Once a transaction is submitted, neither you nor Ahead can cancel, change or reverse it, including transactions made by mistake, sent to the wrong address or triggered by an automation you set.
10. Exits, orders and automations
Ahead lets you set take profits, stop losses, trailing exits, limit orders, recurring buys and similar instructions that act when conditions you choose are met. You acknowledge that:
- They are best-effort. Our systems watch prices and submit a transaction when your condition appears to be met, but prices can move faster than a transaction lands.
- An order may fill at a materially worse price than the one you set, fill only in part, fill late, or not fill at all, for example during sharp price moves, low liquidity or network congestion.
- Prices used to trigger an order come from third-party data sources, which may be delayed, wrong or different from the price you would get.
- Some tokens become impossible to sell, for example if liquidity is removed or the token's contract blocks sales. No exit can protect against that.
- An automation may stop working if your balance is too low, a token or network is no longer supported, or the service is unavailable.
Ahead does not guarantee that any order or automation will execute, or at any particular price. Setting an exit does not limit your possible loss.
11. AutoProtect and risk information
AutoProtect and other safety features look for signs of risk on tokens, such as changes to liquidity, ownership or contract permissions, and may warn you or, if you turn it on, sell on your behalf. Safety scores, labels and warnings are produced from third-party data and automated analysis.
These features cannot detect every risk, may be wrong, may act on a signal that turns out to be harmless, and may act too late. A token without a warning is not safe, and a token with one is not necessarily unsafe. You remain responsible for your decisions.
12. Adding and withdrawing funds
You can add funds by sending supported tokens to your wallet address on a supported network, or by card through a third-party payment provider. Card deposits are provided by that payment provider under its own terms. It may carry out its own identity checks, set its own limits and charge its own fees, and it may refuse a payment. We are not responsible for its decisions or service.
You can withdraw by sending supported tokens from your wallet to another address. Check the network and address carefully. Tokens sent to an unsupported network, a wrong address, or an address that cannot receive them are usually lost permanently, and Ahead cannot recover them.
Some tokens you receive may not be supported in the app. You may still be able to reach them with your exported private key in another wallet.
13. Fees
Using the service may involve two kinds of costs: fees charged by Ahead, and costs charged by third parties or the networks. They are separate.
Ahead fees. Ahead may charge a fee on trades and other transactions. The fee depends on factors such as the transaction's size, type, token and route. Any Ahead fee that applies is shown before you confirm. We may change our fees at any time, but the fee in the quote you confirm is the fee that applies to that transaction.
Network costs. Every blockchain transaction has a network (gas) cost. Ahead pays it on your behalf so you do not need to hold each network's gas token, and recovers it from your USDC in the same transaction. Network costs vary with network demand and can be high, especially on Ethereum.
Third-party costs. Swap aggregators, bridges and liquidity pools may charge their own fees, and trades are affected by price impact and slippage. We include these in the quote where we can, but some cannot be known in advance.
All fees and costs come out of the amount you enter, so the amount you enter is the total you pay. Where fees are a large share of a small order, the app tells you before you confirm. Fees and network costs are generally not refundable, including for failed transactions where costs were already spent.
14. Referrals and rewards
We may offer programmes that reward you for inviting others or sharing tokens, and that give discounts to people who join with an invite code ("rewards programme"). The current details, rates and levels are shown in the app. By taking part, you agree to these terms and any programme rules we show you.
Rewards are paid from fees and are not guaranteed until they are credited to your balance. We decide eligibility and how rewards are calculated, and may change, pause or end any part of the programme, including its rates and levels, at any time. Changes do not affect rewards already credited, unless they were gained in breach of these terms.
You must not refer yourself, create or control more than one account, refer people who are not real or who have not agreed to be referred, coordinate with others to generate rewards, trade only to generate rewards, or send spam or misleading promotions. When you share an invite, you must make clear that you may earn a reward, that you are not acting for Ahead, and that the message is from you, not us.
We decide, acting reasonably, whether activity is abuse of the programme. If it is, we may withhold, reverse or cancel rewards, recover rewards already paid, and suspend or close the accounts involved.
Taking part does not make you our employee, agent or partner. You are responsible for any tax on rewards you receive.
15. Trader names
You may choose a trader name. You may use it while your account is open, but you do not own it and gain no rights in it. You must not sell, transfer, license or offer it to anyone.
Your trader name must not impersonate any person or organisation, suggest you are connected with Ahead, infringe anyone's rights, or be offensive, misleading or unlawful. We may refuse, change, remove or reclaim a trader name at any time, including one that breaks these rules or has not been used for a long time.
16. Tokens and token information
Ahead lets you trade tokens created and issued by others. A token being shown, listed, ranked, featured or picked in Ahead is not an endorsement, recommendation or statement that it is legitimate, safe, lawful or valuable. We do not review the projects behind tokens, and many tokens are highly speculative or created to deceive.
Prices, charts, market data, holder information and descriptions shown in Ahead come from third-party sources and automated systems. They may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and we do not guarantee them. Do not rely on them alone.
Some tokens, such as tokens that track the price of a stock or fund, are issued by third parties under their own terms, disclosures and restrictions. Such tokens are generally not shares, do not give you shareholder rights, and may expose you to the issuer's credit risk. They are not available to residents of some countries. You must not buy a token that is not available where you live, and you are responsible for reading the issuer's disclosures before you do.
We may stop supporting any token or network at any time, for example for legal, security or liquidity reasons. If that happens, you may need to use your exported private key in another wallet to access it.
17. Third-party services
The service relies on, links to and displays services and content from third parties, including wallet infrastructure, swap aggregators, bridges, liquidity pools, blockchain networks, data providers and payment providers. We do not own or control them.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms, which you are responsible for reviewing. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security, fees or failures, including smart contract bugs, hacks, outages, paused networks and changes to their rules, and we make no promises about them.
18. Risks you accept
Trading digital assets carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for everyone. You should only trade with money you can afford to lose entirely. By using the service, you confirm that you understand digital assets, blockchains and self-custody wallets well enough to judge these risks, and you accept them, including:
- Price risk: token prices are extremely volatile and can fall to zero quickly. You may lose all the money you put in.
- Liquidity risk: you may be unable to sell a token at a fair price or at all.
- Fraud risk: many tokens are scams, including tokens whose creators remove liquidity, mint new supply, or block sales.
- Technology risk: smart contracts, bridges, wallets and blockchains can contain bugs, be hacked or exploited, fork, halt, or change their rules, causing loss.
- Key risk: if your private key, recovery phrase, sign-in account or device is lost or stolen, you may lose your assets permanently.
- Data risk: prices and information shown may be delayed or wrong.
- Regulatory risk: laws on digital assets are changing and new laws, taxes or actions by authorities could affect your ability to use the service or the value of what you hold.
- No protection: digital assets are not bank deposits, are not legal tender, and are not covered by deposit insurance or investor compensation schemes.
- Unknown risks: digital assets are a new technology and may carry risks that cannot be foreseen.
19. No advice
Ahead does not give investment, financial, trading, legal, tax or accounting advice, and nothing in the service is a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell or hold any asset. Lists, rankings, picks, charts, performance figures, safety signals, notifications and other information are provided for general information only.
Every decision to trade, and how, is yours alone. You should do your own research and consider getting advice from an independent, qualified professional before trading. Ahead owes you no fiduciary duty.
20. Taxes
You are solely responsible for determining what taxes apply to your trades, rewards and other activity, and for reporting and paying them to the right authorities. Ahead does not collect, withhold, report or pay taxes for you, unless the law requires us to. Any history or figures the app shows are for your convenience and may not be suitable for tax purposes.
21. Prohibited uses
You agree not to, and not to help or allow anyone else to:
- Use the service in breach of any law or regulation, or for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, theft or any other illegal activity.
- Use the service if you are a Restricted Person or in a Restricted Jurisdiction, or hide your location or identity to get around our restrictions.
- Manipulate markets, including pump and dump schemes, wash trading, spoofing, layering, front-running or coordinated trading to move prices.
- Use funds or assets you do not lawfully own or have no right to use.
- Create accounts with false information, create more than one account, or use another person's account.
- Abuse the rewards programme or manipulate any figure the service shows, such as performance or rewards.
- Access, probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems, or breach or get around any security or authentication measure.
- Interfere with, disrupt or place an unreasonable load on the service, including with denial of service attacks or malicious code.
- Use bots, scripts, scrapers or other automated means to create accounts, trade, or access or copy the service or its data, except through features we provide for that purpose.
- Copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or create derivative works of the service, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Impersonate Ahead, our staff or anyone else, or falsely suggest a connection with Ahead.
- Send spam or unsolicited promotions, or use the Ahead name or logo without our written permission.
- Use the service for any commercial purpose, such as reselling access, without our written permission.
22. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict or close your account, or block access to all or part of the service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have broken these terms or the law, that your account is linked to fraud, sanctions or other illegal activity, that your account has been compromised, or that it is required by law, a court or an authority. We may also stop offering the service to you for any other reason with reasonable notice. Where we can lawfully do so, we will tell you why.
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time by emailing support@tradewithahead.com. Before you do, export your private key or withdraw your funds.
Because your wallet is self-custody, closing or suspending your account does not take away your assets. You can still reach them with your exported private key in another wallet, unless the law requires otherwise.
When your account closes, your right to use the service ends. Sections that by their nature should continue, including those on risks, fees owed, intellectual property, liability, indemnity and disputes, continue to apply.
23. Intellectual property
The service and everything in it, including its software, design, text, graphics, data compilations, and the Ahead name, logos and marks, are owned by Ahead or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Other names and marks shown in the service belong to their owners, who may not be connected with Ahead.
Subject to these terms, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the app on devices you own or control, and to use the service for your own trading. All other rights are reserved. You must not remove or change any copyright, trademark or other notice.
24. Feedback
If you send us feedback, ideas or suggestions about the service, you give us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, copy, change and commercialise them for any purpose, without paying or crediting you. You confirm you have the right to give us that feedback. Feedback is not treated as confidential.
25. Disclaimer of warranties
We work hard to make the service accurate, reliable and secure. However, to the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy and quiet enjoyment.
We do not promise that the service will be available at any particular time, uninterrupted, timely, secure or free of errors, viruses or other harmful components, that defects will be corrected, or that any information, price or quote will be accurate. You use the service at your own risk.
26. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Ahead and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and suppliers will not be liable to you for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive loss or damage.
- Any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings.
- Any loss caused by market movements, the value or failure of any token, orders or automations not executing or executing at a different price, or delays and failures of networks, bridges, wallets, payment providers or other third parties.
- Any loss caused by the loss, theft or disclosure of your private key, recovery phrase, sign-in account or device, or by your failure to keep them secure.
- Any loss caused by hacks, attacks, malware or phishing that we did not cause, or by events outside our reasonable control.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to Ahead in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and US$100.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
27. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ahead and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these terms, your breach of any law or the rights of a third party, or your misuse of the service. We may take control of the defence of any such claim, and you agree to cooperate with us.
28. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, power or internet failures, cyberattacks, failures of blockchains, bridges or other third-party services, and changes in law or actions by authorities.
29. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the service or the law. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect, unless the change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons.
If you continue to use the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree to them, you must stop using the service and may close your account. A change will not apply to a dispute that was already in progress when it took effect.
30. Complaints and disputes
If you have a complaint, please email support@tradewithahead.com with your account email address and a description of the problem. We will acknowledge it and try in good faith to resolve it. If we cannot resolve it within 60 days, either of us may take the matter further as set out below.
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the service, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either of us may seek urgent injunctive relief in any court with jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. Nothing in this section takes those rights away.
31. General
Entire agreement. These terms, together with the privacy policy and any additional terms they refer to, are the entire agreement between you and Ahead about the service and replace any earlier agreements or statements about it.
Severability. If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be changed to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable, and the rest of the terms will continue to apply.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. A waiver only counts if we give it in writing.
Transfer. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to an affiliate or to anyone who takes over the service or our business, if this does not reduce your rights.
Third parties. No one other than you and Ahead has any right to enforce these terms.
Notices. We may send notices to the email address on your account or show them in the app. You can send notices to us at the email address below.
Language. These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation and there is any difference, the English version applies, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
